Homeowner & contractor guide

Frequently asked questions

A quick guide to posting a home project, comparing proposals, and submitting a bid.

For homeowners

Post a project and review bids

How do I post a home project?

Describe the work, choose an active configured county and trade, add at least one project photo, and include a video if useful. A budget range and site-visit windows are optional. Set a future bid deadline, review the project, and submit it to publish. A project is shown to eligible contractors only when homeowner launch is open and any required listing payment and project review are complete.

How do I compare bids and decide what to do?

Compare submitted amounts and, when provided, labor and materials breakdowns, alternates, exclusions, proposed timing, and each full proposal with its attachments. You can award an eligible bid or decline a bid. Rebidia does not choose a contractor or promise that a project will receive bids or result in a hire.

For contractors

Find a project and submit a bid

How does a contractor submit a bid?

Review an eligible open project’s shared details and bid deadline. Ask questions in its project Q&A thread, or save a private draft while you prepare. Submit one project-specific bid before the deadline with your amount and proposal. Labor and materials breakdowns, alternates, exclusions, schedule details, and attachments are optional.

Who can see project questions and bids?

Project Q&A is shared with the homeowner and eligible contractors who can access that project. A contractor can see their own bid, not competing bids; the homeowner can review bids submitted for their project. Other contractors’ bids do not become visible after the deadline.

Where Rebidia operates

Which counties and trades are in the early-access pilot?

The South Carolina pilot covers Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson counties. The included trades are Roofing, HVAC, Plumbing, and General Remodeling/Additions only.

How does Rebidia handle contractor license and insurance details?

Contractors may optionally provide a license or registration number and an insurance document. Those details come from the contractor; Rebidia does not request them for a verification process, review them, check state records, or independently verify contractors. Homeowners should confirm information important to their decision with the contractor and appropriate authorities. Rebidia facilitates bids and does not guarantee work quality.
